last stop

And then, New York.

I’m staying in a townhouse in Manhattan. An entire townhouse. I didn’t know that even existed. // I ate curly fries for the first time in my life. It was much anticipated and delicious but also a little underwhelming. // I spent a small fortune on them (I find handling fees so passive-agressive, especially) but I am going to see what looks like two really cool shows. // New York in June reminds me a bit of Paris in the summer : the air that finally cools come sundown, the golden light on stone, and how the city feels like an exhale despite the throng of people, full of peacefulness and promise and adventure.
